The objectives of this landscaping project were to modernize the look and functionality of this backyard. Dining outside while enjoying a modern and low maintenance backyard were key factors for the design. The elevated paver patio eliminates the need for an additional step while adding an upgraded design element to dining patio area. Materials used for the patio were Unilock Beacon Hill Smooth in Charcoal colour with matching coping and Lineo Dimensional Stone. The walkways were built using the Unilock Beacon Hill pavers in the Opal colour with a contrasting Charcoal border that helped to attain a modern sense to the space. The pergola timber structure stained in ebony, helps to anchor the overall contemporary aesthetic. A custom-built shed was thoughtfully designed to accommodate the other elements of the space. Minimalistic perimeter planting softens the look while maintaining a minimal maintenance, modern style. The conscientious choices of materials, colours and design elements all helped to accomplish the objectives for this backyard renovation.
