Located in Niagara-on-the-Lake, this beautiful Georgian-designated heritage home radiates historic charm! The homeowners wanted to transform the property into a rustic retreat that blends natural stone elements with modern, functional outdoor living features. The project began with the installation of a patio using a combination of Unilock’s Copthorne pavers in the 3 Colour Blend and natural stone from Stone Arch in Antique Limestone. This created a durable and stunning foundation for the outdoor living area, seamlessly integrating with the home’s classic design. To enhance the space, a gas fireplace with a stone surround was added, using Masonal Stone’s Rustic Natural Bedstone in the Old World Blend. The driveway, designed with the same Copthorne pavers laid in a herringbone pattern, complements the overall look while providing a practical, weather-resistant surface. Walkways throughout the property were crafted from matching pavers, ensuring a smooth and unified flow between outdoor spaces. A notable highlight of this project is the custom-designed wood fencing and gates, which were thoughtfully crafted to provide privacy while blending with the overall landscape design. Additionally, the lower-level garden was transformed into a Pottage Garden, a mix of perennials and vegetables designed by the homeowner, offering both beauty and functionality. The outdoor kitchen, featuring a built-in Napoleon BBQ, is another key element of the design. The countertop, made from Stone Arch’s Silver Antique Limestone, and the base, constructed from the same Masonal Stone Rustic Natural Bedstone used throughout the project, created a cohesive, aged appearance that tied the entire space together. The result is a stunning outdoor retreat that beautifully balances modern functionality with timeless design, offering a space for homeowners to enjoy for years to come.
